Puppy School Teaching Team & 1:1 Puppy Training

Anj and Mish are qualified and experienced rewards based trainers who are advocates of fear-free and force-free methods. Our goal is to help dogs and owners to build trusting and rewarding relationships, and to gain skills and understanding to lead fun and enriching lives with each other.

Anj has over 20 years experience of working in the animal care sector, something she has been passionate about since childhood. Her professional roles have been diverse and include being a junior zookeeper at Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust; animal welfare officer in rescue shelters; boarding kennel manager; doggy day care and over 5 years working as a veterinary nurse at Lort Smith Animal Hospital. In 2010, Anj completed a Cert IV in Companion Animal Services with a focus on animal behaviour and training. In 2016, Anj gathered up her many years of experience and passion for animal care to create Woof Wonders.

Mish was formerly qualified as an environmental scientist with a passion for community education. Her past work has been extremely varied ranging from working for Engineers Without Borders in Indonesia to being a marine science educator on the Great Barrier Reef. Mish came to the world of dog training in an interesting way. For four years, Mish worked as an 'eco-therapist' facilitating nature and animal-based volunteering activities for vulnerable and marginalised women. One of the activities was working with the dogs at the Lort Smith Animal Shelter. After seeing and experiencing how working with animals could provide profoundly enriching and healing experiences for both humans and dogs, Mish fell in love with the animal care sector. Since then, Mish has gained extensive training and dog handling experience as Woof Wonder's primary trainer and also through teaching classes at The Kintala Club. In 2019, Mish qualified as a trainer through the Gentle Dog Trainers Association.
